VISA REQUIREMENTS
Foreigners wishing to travel to the Bahamas may require a Visa for entry into the country. Be sure to check the visa requirements for your country to ensure a smooth entry into our country.

VACCINATION
Inform your family doctor about your travel intentions and clarify which medical precautions are necessary. The Bahamas are not affected by Malaria or Zika.
COVID-19
We do everything to ensure your health and well-being while visiting our property. All measures will be taken with regards to regular cleaning and disinfection protocols set forth by the Bahamian Government. We are also fully vaccinated for all your safety. WEATHER & CLIMATE ON EXUMA
The Bahamas enjoy sunshine an average of over 300 days per year. The winters are mild with daytime temperatures averaging mid 70sF (mid 20s C) and nighttime upper 60sF (18 C). In Summer daytime can be in the higher 80sF (30 C) with 70sF (25C) at night.
CREDIT GARD OR CASH
Exuma is basically a cash only island. There are only a few restaurants that are taking credit cards, so make sure you have enough cash on you. ATM can be found in George Town, at the airport and at Emerald Bay Marina office.
LOCAL CURRENCY
The local currency is Bahamian dollars (BSD) but everyone is happy with US dollars. Bahamian dollars are on par with the US dollars so we are all happy with US dollars as well.
BEACH EQUIPMENT
Beach rental equipment (beach chairs, umbrellas, kayak, paddle boards, beach games), can be rented on a daily basis.

SUN PROTECTION
The sun is much stronger in the Tropics and around the Equator. Avoid risky sun burns by frequent applying sunscreen with a minimum factor of 30, even if is cloudy.
MOSQUITOS & SAND-FLIES
Mosquitos and sand-flies appear particularly during dusk and dawn without a breeze. If you are sensitive to mosquitos and sand-flies apply an insect repellent or baby oil if outside. For bit relief us an antihistamine like Benedril.
PRESERVE THE ISLAND
Just leave footprints and bubbles, and take thousands of great memories with you. Other than that, take care of our natural beautiful island and preserve it for the next generation.
